Oregon Trail Tallow started as an idea to improve our health. I am a parent with two toddlers and they love French Fries. I wanted to feed them in a healthy way and that's how I came across beef tallow.
As I researched more, I learned that beef tallow has been around for a long time and has many uses, that interested me. Even big name fast food used beef tallow to fry their fries. I decided to make my own tallow with beef suet and the rest is history.
Historically beef tallow has been the convention for cooking and skincare, only in modern times have we put it to the side. We jumped on the bandwagon to rediscover the timeless benefits and savory flavors of beef tallow.

We provide a reliable source of grass-fed and finished cattle for our cosmetic product lines. We also have it as a cooking fat and we provide an option for Waygu tallow, which has more saturated fat giving it a creamier texture and it has a deeper flavor.

By using parts of the cow that are typically thrown away, we are decreasing waste and supporting ranchers and their herds. Cattle herds are beneficial to the land and help rejuvenate the soil. They are a vital part of the ecosystem when optimal grazing patterns are used.
