Oregon Trail Tallow started as an idea to improve our health. I am a parent with two toddlers and I wanted something healthy to use on their skin when they needed a moisturizer.
As I researched more, I learned that beef tallow has been around for a long time and has many uses, that interested me. Ancient Egyptians used it to moisturize their skin and hair. I decided to make my own tallow with beef suet and the rest is history.
Historically beef tallow has been the convention for cooking and skincare, only in modern times have forgotten about it. We jumped on the bandwagon to rediscover the timeless benefits of beef tallow and to use a skin balm that works.
